Our General terms & Conditions will apply to all reservations made at our property
Loss or Damage
The Guest is responsible to the Glendower Hotel for any loss or damage caused by any act or neglect of the Guest and shall pay the amount required to make good this damage. Should any loss or damage come to light after the Guests have departed, we reserve the right to charge the guest’s credit/debit card or to send an invoice for the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss as the guest has caused.
No Smoking Policy
For the comfort of all guests and to conform to legal requirements the Glendower Hotel operates a Strictly No Smoking Policy. We reserve the right to terminate a guests stay if this policy is ignored and to apply a deep cleaning charge of £100.00.
Cancellation Terms
Advance Paid /Saver Rates are all strictly non-refundable. Flexible Rates are free to cancel until 9.00am, 48 hours before your day of arrival. If you cancel or amend after this time you will be charged the cost of your first night’s stay. Rates that require deposit’s – the deposit taken in accordance with the rate detail is strictly non-refundable. If you wish to review, adjust or cancel your reservation then please refer to the conditions on your confirmation email. Please note that you may be charged for your cancellation in accordance with our cancellation policy as referred to on your reservation. No-Shows will be charged for the first night’s accommodation.

The Glendower Hotel aims to ensure that all guests, staff & visitors can enjoy our facilities and are made to feel welcome regardless of their access needs. The following Statement sets out to describe our Facilities and Services in detail to help enable access for all.
Hotel Location
The Glendower is in Lytham St Annes, North Promenade FY8 2NQ. We are situated facing St Annes North Beach & Sand Dunes. Access to the Hotel entrance is via North Promenade. We are approx. a 5-minute walk from St Annes Town Centre and 3 miles from Lytham Town centre and 3 miles from Blackpool Town centre. The closest Train Station is St Annes a 5-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute walk. Blackpool Central Train Station is a 25-minute Taxi Journey and Lytham Train Station is a 15-minute Journey. Both Manchester Airport & Liverpool John Lennon Airports are the closest public airports, and both are approx. 50-60miles from the Glendower. Regular Buses run from both Lytham and Blackpool and details can be found at blackpooltransport.com Local St Annes taxi company which we use, and which can supply – Wheelchair Accessible, Pet Friendly and Minibus Taxis by pre-booking is Whites and details can be found at: www.whitesidetaxis.co.uk.

Arrival & Car Parking
The Glendower Hotel Car Park is at the front of the building; all spaces are clearly marked with white lines. 2 x designated Disabled spaces 3 x designated EV Charging spaces and 40 total car parking spaces which are taken on a first arrival basis. Overflow parking is available at weekends. The car park is flat with a tarmac surface. The hotel entrance leads directly from the car park. There is a flagged gentle slope leading to the front door. The front door is usually open however if closed on arrival there is an automatic push button opener on the right side. Once through the front door there are two automatic opening glass doors all on the level. Assistance with luggage will be given on request.
Reception
The hotel reception desk is directly opposite the front door entrance. The area is carpeted with a gentle slope leading from the reception desk to the hotel lift. The hotel reception desk has two height levels, the lower one is suitable for wheelchair users.
Public Areas & Facilities
All public areas lead from reception. Free Wifi is available throughout the Glendower. The Bar is to the right of reception and is of flat vinyl flooring with moveable assorted tables & chairs. Coast Brasserie leads from the bar again on the level and is a mixture of carpet and vinyl flooring again with moveable tables & chairs. To the right of the reception desk is our hotel residents lounge which is fully carpeted with moveable salon furniture. The corridor to the lift is also to the right and is carpeted throughout. We are a pet friendly hotel – however the lounge and Coast Brasserie are kept Pet Free except for guide and Assistance dogs. Public toilets ladies & gents including wheelchair accessible toilet are situated in the corridor from reception to the lift. The accessible toilet has a disabled toilet alarm fitted. There is low level background music playing in all public areas. The hotel lift does access both 1st & 2nd floor but not all bedrooms.The Hotel Brasserie is full waiter service to your table for both breakfast and dinner. The Hotel Bar offers waiter service on request.
Bedrooms & Corridors
The Glendower Hotel has a total of 61 bedrooms of mixed size and aspect over two floors. We do not have ground floor bedrooms.The Glendower has one designated wheelchair accessible twin bedroom. The Glendower has 12 pet friendly bedrooms of mixed size and aspect. The Glendower Hotel bedrooms are fully en-suite. The Glendower has a mixture of both bath and walk-in shower facilities. The Glendower can provide, toilet booster seats, shower chairs and portable bathroom grab handles on request. Anti-slip bathmats can be found in every bedroom’s bathroom. All bedroom corridors are fitted with PIR lighting – motion sensors. All corridor fire doors are fitted with magnetic automatic release fittings in the event of fire. We have areas of safe refuge with “Evac Chairs” on both levels outside of the lift. Wheelchairs are not allowed on the 2nd. Some of our bedroom corridors have steps in the middle due to the age and structure of the Hotel – it is advised that all guests requiring complete level access contact the Hotel directly in advance of their reservation.
Emergency
The nearest hospital with an A&E unit is Blackpool Victoria – 5 miles. The nearest NHS Walk-In Centre is Blackpool Whitegate Drive – 5miles. The nearest pharmacy is Boots – 3/5 St Annes Road West – 5 minute walk. The Glendower tests its Fire alarms every Monday at 11.00 am. The Glendower Fire Alarm is sound only – all and any vulnerable guests will be noted for the fire. Officer for assistance in the event of emergency. Glendower Hotel Current Environmental & Sustainable Operations
Use of LED Lighting throughout the Glendower – giving a 75% energy saving in comparison to traditional bulbs.
Use of PIR (Motion Sensor) lighting through all bedroom corridors & public toilets.
The Glendower recycles all – cardboard, paper, glass & plastic, waste cooking oil and batteries.
Dual flush toilets in all bedrooms and public toilets – using an average 25% less water than traditional toilet flush.
EV chargers – the Glendower currently has 3 EV charging stations.
Laundry – guests are encouraged to re-use towels with a simple procedure for new, noted on each bathroom wall.
Linen change is every 3 days for longer stay guests.
All bedroom’s complimentary toiletries are now in recyclable packaging with a much-reduced CO2 emissions rating in comparison to plastic bottles.
The Glendower operates a 1 Guest 1 Napkin Policy – this has significantly reduced paper wastage and laundry costs.
Full waiter service for all meals including breakfast – reduces food wastage by 80% in comparison to our previous breakfast buffet, this has been in operation since 2020.
The Glendower reduces food waste through a policy of pre-orders for all banquet services. The Glendower operates a daily specials addition to its standard menu using in-season products again reducing waste. Reduced our paper usage by 60% by updating our digital processes, including on-line check in and email of invoices since 2022. The Glendower reuses small breakfast jam jars to serve cold sauces e.g. tomato sauce. We promote the use of local public transport both to staff & guests, with information and timetables readily available. We provide safe secure cycle storage for guests and staff.
Corporate & Social Responsibility
The Glendower aims to be at the heart of our local community, through our services including accommodation, weddings and special events, funerals, functions and food and beverage offerings. We also support and engage with community projects, provide regular facilities for charitable foundations with food donations, hotel vouchers and complimentary room hire. We partner closely with a local golf club promoting healthy and active hotel stays. We have healthy and valuable relationships with local food suppliers across the Northwest ensuring the best of local fresh foods. The Glendower has built corporate relationships with a number of local businesses’ bringing guests to the Fylde on a daily basis. Through staff training and direct communication, the entire Glendower Team are aware of and involved in our environmental goals and commitments. Guest Access
Guests must present a valid ID and reservation confirmation upon check-in if required. Room keys are issued to registered guests only and must be returned upon check-out. Guests are responsible for their room keys and should report any loss immediately.
Visitor Access
Visitors must register at the front desk and provide a valid ID. Visitors are allowed in guest rooms only with the permission of the registered guest. Visitors must leave the premises by 11pm unless otherwise authorised or part of an event.
Staff Access
Staff members must wear name identification badges at all times. Access to guest rooms by staff is limited to cleaning, maintenance, and emergency situations. Staff must respect guest privacy and follow proper procedures when entering rooms.
