Ashton Gardens is a beautiful Grade II listed park in the heart of St Annes, offering 4 hectares of landscaped gardens, historic features, and attractions including a café, play areas, bowling greens, and themed gardens. Originally established in 1874 and later redesigned for public enjoyment, it remains a much-loved space for both relaxation and recreation.

Lytham town centre is a charming and upmarket coastal area centred around a leafy square, known for its independent boutiques, cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs. It has a relaxed, village-like feel with attractions such as the historic windmill, long grassy green, and easy access to the seafront. Lytham is 10 minutes away by car, and can also be easily accessed via public transport.

The famous Royal Lytham course is only a 5 minute drive from our doors. This is one of the UK’s most renowned championship courses, famous for its challenging links layout and over 200 strategically placed bunkers. Founded in 1886, it has hosted multiple Open Championships and is considered one of the premier golfing venues in the world.

The Fairhaven Golf Club is less than a 10 minute drive from the Hotel Glendower. This is a well-regarded championship course known for its parkland-style layout, tree-lined fairways, and numerous water hazards that challenge golfers of all levels. Established in 1895, it has hosted major amateur tournaments and is praised for its scenic setting and excellent, recently modernised facilities.

Once home to the Clifton family, it is now open to the public for tours, events, and exhibitions, with lovely gardens, woodland walks, flower & produce shop, and a popular tearoom and to enjoy.

A local scenic saltwater lake popular for activities such as rowing boats, pedalos, mini golf, tennis and playgrounds, as well as nearby facilities like the café and ice cream stands. It’s also a great spot for enjoying views across the Ribble Estuary. We highly recommend taking a walk along the surrounding sea walk which also provides direct beach access.
