FISH & CHIP FRIDAYS
It wouldn’t be a trip to the English seaside without indulging in a classic chippy tea. Two people can dine and drink with us for just £35. Head down to Ashton Gardens on the first Sunday of every month from May to September for a free musical treat. Ashton Gardens is only a hop skip and a jump from our doors.

Lytham 1940s Weekend
If you've never experienced the Lytham 1940s Weekend, 2026 is the perfect year to discover why it's one of Lancashire's most popular summer events.
Returning on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August 2026, this much-loved annual celebration transforms Lytham into a living snapshot of wartime Britain. Vintage military vehicles line the streets, swing music fills the air, and thousands of visitors arrive dressed in authentic 1940s fashion to celebrate an unforgettable era. Being just a 10 minute drive away makes the Glendower the perfect base.

ST ANNES KITE FESTIVAL
Just over the road from the Glendower Hotel is one of the Fylde Coast's most spectacular family events, the St. Annes International Kite Festival from 4–6 September 2026, bringing giant display kites, colourful inflatable creations and world-class kite teams to the beach at St Annes. Visitors can enjoy a magical illuminated kite display on Friday evening, followed by two days of breathtaking aerial performances, family entertainment, food stalls and fairground attractions along the seafront.
Admission is free throughout the weekend, it's a fantastic excuse to plan a late-summer break in Lytham St Annes
